In honor of the 88th anniversary of the 19th amendment, take a moment to tell the Bush administration that it’s not a doctor’s responsibility to impart moral advice on a patient. It’s his or her responsibility to provide the treatment or medicine requested along with all SCIENTIFIC data that may be pertinent to the patient’s health. No one is forcing doctors into the profession. They know what they’re doing, or should, during those 10 years of medical school and internship. If they can get through all that without having their conscience pop up over MY decisions regarding MY body, then they shouldn’t have any problem continuing to practice just as they started.
