okay, that was a little snarky, i admit. i know it’s better for people to eat local, organic foods, no matter what their motivation, but it’s like all the people getting on the prius bandwagon just because of gas prices. i’m a bit of an idealist and want people to actually get it. which most of them never will. so, i suppose this is the next best thing. people see organic and local foods as a luxury (which they’re not), so it’s become the hawt new thing to get someone else to come grow a garden for you. i know, i know. it’s good for the farmers, good for the economy, and good for our bodies. but c’mon, people! get out there and mess around in your own dirt! it’s not that hard! even i, the queen of killing plants, have learned to grow at least a few herbs, and plan to do more when i can afford a house with a yard.
enough ranting, i guess. go read this. and then read this. decide which is more you and i’ll try to just be happy you’re eating better. >_<

Does your Prius count as part of the bandwagon? =)
I would not worry about judging anyone or trying to be happy – I bet you’ll feel better. It sounds like they are taking steps in a more sustainable direction, and most likely doesn’t harm anyone. I could be wrong. Baby steps work. Not everyone has a green thumb. And, there’s nothing wrong with idealism.
Cheers,
Jon
no it does not, mr poop-on-my-party, since i’ve been long in desiring a hybrid car and just couldn’t afford any new car until recently.
that said, i agree. like i said, i’m glad they’re doing something, but i just feel all uppity about people doing anything just because it’s “cool”. i’m totally a late adopter. a very stubborn, late adopter.
